In the first quarter, 445,000 units were sold in home appliance trade-in in Beijing ,value of sales hit 1.804 billion Yuan, and 448,000 units of outdated home appliance were bought back, up by 11.4%, 9.5% and 11.3% year on year respectively. 



From August 2009 when home appliance trade-in was conducted in Beijing, to March 31, 2011, a total of 2.626 million units of new home appliances were sold, with sales value of 10.43 billion Yuan, and 2.722 million units of outdated ones bought back, out of which 2.15 million units were stripped down. A total of 748 million Yuan of subsidies were check and approved by commerce department, and 649 million Yuan of subsidies were provided by the finance department.
