In order to promote economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between CCCME key member enterprises and the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro, CCCME and the Rio State government jointly developed the "China-Brazil Rio State Economic and Trade Matchmaking Forum" in Beijing on May 17, 2019.

The event was strongly supported by the Chinese Consulate General in Rio, Brazil. Mr. Shi Yonghong, CCCME Vice President, Mr. Marcelo Lopes da Silva, Attorney-general of Rio Procuratorate, Mr. Luiz Claudio Rodrigues de Carvalho, Director General of Department of Finance of Rio State, Mr. Valter Ferreira Alencar Pires Rebelo, Director General of Department of Civil Affairs attended the forum and delivered speeches. More than 30 Rio State government and enterprises representatives and nearly 60 CCCME member company representatives participated in the forum and launched in-depth and pragmatic communication to reach a number of preliminary cooperation intentions.
