CCCME Economic and Trade Promotion Delegation Visits Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka is an important node country of the “Belt and Road” Initiative. With the aim of promoting China-Sri Lanka economic and trade connectivity and cooperation, the CCCME Economic and Trade Promotion Delegation visited Colombo of Sri Lanka from May 27 to 30 to carry out related economic and trade promotion activities, under the support of the Department of Asian Affairs of China’s Ministry of Commerce and the Economic and Commercial Affairs Office of the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka. During the visit, CCCME successfully organized the China-Sri Lanka Trade and Investment Conference, which was attended and addressed by Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao and Minister of Labor and Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Sri Lanka Fernando. The delegation also visited the Ministry of Industry and Enterprise Development of Sri Lanka, participated in the symposium of DL & F Saram Law Firm, and paid a site visit to China Harbor’s Colombo Port City Project and CM Port’s Colombo International Container Terminal Project to comprehensively promote China-Sri Lanka economic and trade pragmatic cooperation.
