On July 23, 2024, the 8th China-South Asia Expo and the 28th China Kunming Import and Export Fair (hereinafter referred to as the “8th CSA Expo”) was grandly opened at the Kunming Dianchi Lake International Convention and Exhibition Centre. Vice Chairman of the NPC Standing Committee Ding Zhongli, delivered a welcome speech. The event was attended and speeches were delivered by Speaker of the Parliament of Sri Lanka Abeywardena, Deputy Prime Minister of Laos Khaykhamphithoune, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Myanmar U Than Swe, and Deputy Speaker of the People’s Majlis of Maldives Eva Abdulla. Secretary of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee Wang Ning, and Vice Minister of Commerce Li Fei, gave speeches. Governor of Yunnan Province Wang Yubo, presided over the opening ceremony. On the afternoon of July 23, as one of the key supporting events of the 8th CSA Expo, the 2024 (Kunming) United Nations Green and Low Carbon Product Procurement Exchange Conference organized by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products was successfully held.
