From August 27th to 30th, 2023, the 11th Meeting of the CICA Think Tank Forum was held by Shanghai Institutes for International Studies and Foreign Affairs Office of Qinghai Province under the guidance of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in Xining, Qinghai. The theme of the Forum is "Building an Asia of Mutual Learning and Win-Win Cooperation: The Role and Mission of CICA." Over 50 officials, experts and diplomats from approximately 20 CICA member countries such as China, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and Uzbekistan communicated in-person or online. Participants discussed topics related to mutual learning and win-win cooperation among CICA member countries, shared experiences in their modernization development modes, and explored important issues related to security and development in Asia. The opening ceremony of the forum was presided over by President of Shanghai Institutes for International Studies Chen Dongxiao, and featured speeches from Vice Governor of Qinghai Province Wang Haihong and Secretary-General of CICA Sarybay.
