On May 17, 2023, the 2023 China International Consumer Electronics Exposition kicked off at the Qingdao International Convention and Exhibition Center. The Expo was hosted by Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Science and Technology of PRC and the People's Government of Shandong Province, supported by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of PRC, and organized by CCCME, the Chinese Institute of Electronics and the Qingdao Municipal People's Government.
      Zhang Qingwei, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, attended and announced the opening of the Expo. Zhou Naixiang, Deputy Secretary of Shandong Provincial Committee of the CPC and Governor of Shandong Province, attended and delivered a speech. Lu Zhiyuan, Deputy Secretary of Shandong Provincial Committee of the CPC and Secretary of Qingdao Municipal committee of the CPC, and leaders of Shandong Province and Qingdao City, including Wang Yihua, Song Junjie, Zhao Haozhi, and Wang Luming, attended the opening ceremony. Zhang Yujing, President of CCCME, was invited to attend the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
