2022 marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and the five Central Asian countries. The Sino-Central Asia Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum was held via video link on January 17. Minister of Commerce of P.R.China Wang Wentao, the first Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Smailov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Umurzakov, Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan Amangeldiev, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Zavqizoda, and Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan Oraz Murad attended the Forum and delivered speeches. CCCME Vice President Shi Yonghong and nearly 50 member enterprises of CCCME for engineering and capacity cooperation in Central Asia were invited to the online forum.
