China-Asia Online Purchasing Meeting Inaugurates
With the aim of helping Chinese export enterprises meet the challenges of the new challenges brought about by Covid-19 outbreak, and facilitating the accurate docking between Chinese suppliers and foreign customers, CCCME and local competent commercial departments together with chambers of commerce of 9 countries have organized since August 28, 2020 the China-Asia Online Purchasing Meeting under the support of Department of Asian Affairs of Ministry of Commerce of China and Commercial Counselors’ Offices of Chinese embassies in relevant countries. The serial event will last 20 days, and the debut was the Shandong Exporting Online Fair (Asia) 2020, which was held on the morning of September 1. Deputy Director General of Department of Asian Affairs of Ministry of Commerce of China Yang Weiqun, Deputy Director General of Department of Commerce of Shandong Province Zhang Xingcheng, Minister Counselor of Chinese Embassy in Thailand Zhang Peidong, CCCME Vice President Wang Guiqing attended and addressed the event. Since the opening of the matchmaking meeting on August 28, more than 150 Thai buyers have conducted online exchanges with more than 200 Chinese suppliers, covering many fields such as construction machinery, mining machinery, hardware and building materials, smart home, automobile and accessories, and daily necessities etc.
