On September 19, 2018, CCCME Vice President Liu Chun met with the Director of the Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan Takeshi Fujimoto and Counselor of the Economic Department of the Japanese Embassy in China Shigekazu Fukunaga and officials from Japan-China Economic Association.

The two sides began by exchanging respective progress on preparing the First China-Japan Third-party Market Cooperation Forum which will be held in Beijing in late October this year.

Both of them believed that that pragmatic cooperation between China and Japan was deeply rooted with broad prospects, which is also the reason why China and Japan should collaborated on co-hosting the Forum with full efforts by replying on their respective advantages and unleashing potential for cooperation, in order to achieve a win-win result.
