CCCME Declaration Concerning United States’ Export Control Measure Proclamation on ZTE Corporation

     The China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME) noted that the U.S. Department of Commerce announced last night (local time 16th) that it would take export control measures on ZTE Corporation. CCCME has always required its member companies to abide by the laws and policies of the host country in the course of overseas operations and to carry out operations legally and compliantly.
   ZTE Corporation, as the world's leading provider of integrated communications solutions, has conducted extensive trade and investment cooperation with hundreds of U.S. companies and contributed tens of thousands of jobs to the United States. It is hoped that the United States will properly handle this matter in accordance with regulations and create a fair, equitable and stable legal and policy environment for the company.
    CCCME calls on the U.S. government to seriously consider taking control measures on ZTE. CCCME will pay close attention to the progress of the situation and support the Chinese government to take necessary measures and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of its member companies.
