On August 30, CCCME Vice President Wang Guiqing met with Mr. Takeshi Komoto, Managing Director of Multilateral Trading System Department, Trade Policy Bureau of Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (JMETI), Senior Official Moriya Aya from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and First Secretary Matsubara Yosuke from Japanese Embassy to China.

Vice President Wang welcomed the delegation and addressed the significance of pushing forward the negotiation on Environmental Goods Agreement. He pointed out, as China’s largest social industrial organization in the trade area, CCCME, has actively involved itself in and expressed full concern about the negotiation, by organizing the EGA Symposium at the end of August, circulating questionnaire to member enterprises, and establishing communication mechanism among industrial branch working group.

CCCME will remain active and contribute its part to promoting a significant Environmental Goods Agreement.
