CCCME Vice President Liu Chun Accompanies Minister of Commerce Zhong Shan to Meet with Governor of California State Jerry Brown of the US
On June 6, 2017, Minister of Commerce Zhong Shan met with Governor of California State Jerry Brown of the US in Beijing. CCCME Vice President Liu Chun, the person in charge of the Chinese Secretariat for China Provinces and US California Joint Working Group on Trade and Investment Cooperation, accompanied Minister Zhong to meet with Governor Brown. The two sides exchanged views on issues concerning China-US trade and economic relations, and trade and economic cooperation between the states of the US and the Chinese provinces.
Minister Zhong pointed out the state of California has strong economic power and stands out in scientific and technological innovation and clean energy area, leading the trade and economic cooperation between US states and Chinese provinces and Governor Brown is the pioneer of this endeavor. The US states-Chinese provinces trade and investment cooperation joint group mechanism is unprecedented. Minister Zhong highly applauds the positive role that Governor Brown and the State of California have played in boosting the US states-Chinese provinces trade and economic cooperation and expects the two sides to expand cooperation on the present basis.
Governor Brown said that he expects to consolidate cooperation with China in trade investment, clean technology and low-carbon and environmental protection areas, thus making greater contribution to China-US ties.
