On March 24, 2016, CCCME Vice President LIU Chun met with California Senator Robert M. Hertzberg and his delegation.

Vice President Liu Chun said that the current Sino-US economic and trade exchanges and mutual investment become more and more frequent, Chinese companies and American companies hope to strengthen pragmatic cooperation in many aspects. CCCME as the Chinese Secretariat of China Provinces & US California Joint Working Group on Trade & Investment Cooperation will organize a delegation to Los Angeles to participate in the "China week" in May this year.

Mr. Hertzberg introduced industries in which California and China have cooperation and the current progress on these projects. He wishesthat his visit to CCCME will strengthen bilateral collaboration; he was also very pleased to accept VP LIU Chun’s invitation to participate in the "China Week" activities. 

Both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in the following three aspects: the first is to establish a mechanism for regular contact to exchange trade/economic and project information; the second is to solve the labor legal issues and trade barriers issue that Chinese enterprises have encountered when investing in the U.S., the third is to jointly promote the cooperation between Chinese and American enterprises in solar energy, clean energy and other fields.
