CIGPITS firstly held in Guangzhou in November,2011

With the purpose of implementing the development planning and objectives of China in low-carbon development, energy conservation and emission reduction and the building of environment friendly society in the 12th Five-Year Plan, with the joint support of seven ministries and one province including National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP), Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MHURD), Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) and the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, the China International Green Innovative Products and Technologies Show 2011 was successfully held in Guangzhou during Nov. 9-11, 2011.


 


As a large specialized show focused on green low-carbon products, technologies and services, China International Green Innovative Products & Technologies Show 2011 ( referred to as CIGPITS 2011 hereinafter) was launched with the mission of facilitating the connection between the sophisticated technologies, products and services of both Chinese and foreign green low-carbon companies and the huge market demands inspired by China’s initiatives on energy conservation, emission reduction and green development. Meanwhile, it also aimed to create trading, investment and financing opportunities for the companies involved and offer cooperative chances for eco zones in varieties including national development zones and environmental protection industries to attract investments.


 


With the theme of Green Innovation and Low-carbon Development, CIGIPTS 2011 was devoted to creating four platforms, i.e. Trading platform for green low-carbon technologies, products and services, Networking platform for investment and financing in green industries, Exchanging platform for concepts of green low-carbon development and Discussing platform for green industry policies and climate change.


 


A number of Chinese and foreign branded companies attended the show, including SINOMACH, Yingli Energy, Siemens, Schneider, ENN, BMW, Bosch, TCL, Coke Cola, Rhodia, Toyota, Maersk and so on. 128 China’s national economic and technical zones were presented together with Guangdong Provincial Pavilion, Clean Tech Finland and Taiwanese Green Products Area.


 


Sideline events included main forum, seminars and business matchmaking meetings. The exhibitors, scholars and experts exchanged views on hot issues of common concern.


 


In the future, CIGIPTS will be held annually.
