Sales of home appliances to rural areas reached 96.35 million units in first eleven months of 2011, hitting 245.6 billion yuan, up by 43.6% and 63.7% year-on-year respectively. In November, sales of home appliance to rural areas totaled 11.15 million units, hitting 29.8 billion yuan, up by 44.1% and 65.8% year-on-year respectively. A total of 210 million units of home appliances were sold to rural areas as of November 2011, with sales values hitting 487.4 billion yuan, and total subsidy volume was 55.6 billion yuan.



In November, sales of home appliance to rural areas continued remarkable growth. By region, the top three sales values belong to provinces of Shandong, Henan and Sichuan, all exceeding 3 billion yuan. By commodity, sales of color TV sets, refrigerators, water heaters and air conditioners increased by over 40%, accounting for 81.5% of the total sales. By enterprise, sales of Changhong, Gree and Lenovo increased by over 100% year on year respectively.
