On September 14, 2011, CCCME Vice President Shi Yonghong meets with Elias S. Farraj, Deputy CEO of Jordan Investment Board (JIB) Delegation.

Mr. Farraj starts by introducing the purpose of the visit. It is known that China now attaches equal importance to both inward FDI and outward FDI, which gives Jordan a well-timed opportunity for seeking cooperation with China. Abundant human resource, low labor cost, easy access to neighboring Middle- East countries and a number of FTAs signed with other countries all ensure Jordan a competitive country for investment. Meanwhile, Jordanian government has formulated encouragement policies to attract FDI. Mr. Farraj believes that China-Jordan cooperation not only help Jordan stimulate employment, but also offers China good business opportunities. He extends the wish for introducing Jordanian investment environment to Chinese companies, with CCCME’s assistance.

CCCME Vice President Shi Yonghong extends a warm welcome to JIB. He says that as the biggest trade organization in machinery & electronic industry nationwide, CCCME has always been committing itself to providing legal advice, policy guidance as well as opportunities for going global to its member companies. He recommends JIB to fully utilize CCCME’s new E-platform by publishing online promotion information and policy instruction. CCCME is also ready to inform its member enterprises about Haier’s successful case in Jordan, so as to increase Chinese companies’ interest in and confidence of investing. Two parties will keep further contact in cooperation details.
