美国通报标准参考试验轮胎

拟议规则制定通知-本文件建议对若干联邦机动车安全标准和消费者信息法规进行修订，以更新其中使用的标准参考试验轮胎（SRTT）。SRTT在这些标准和法规中用作基准轮胎，用于评估轮胎胎面磨损，根据牵引性能定义雪地轮胎，并评估路面摩擦。由于目前参考的SRTT的唯一制造商停止了轮胎的生产，因此建议的规则是必要的。参考新SRTT可确保测试轮胎可用于测试目的。

Notice of proposed rulemaking - This document proposes amendments to several Federal motor vehicle safety standards and consumer information regulations to update the standard reference test tire (SRTT) used therein. The SRTT is used in those standards and regulations as a baseline tire to rate tire treadwear, define snow tires based on traction performance, and evaluate pavement surface friction. This proposed rule is necessary because the only manufacturer of the currently referenced SRTT ceased production of the tire. Referencing a new SRTT ensures the availability of a test tire for testing purposes.
